Unkle Bonehead

Found a cheap solutionSo there I was sitting in front of my computer looking at the sine wave of my speech track of my podcast, wondering how I could get it to sound better. My biggest problem is I start to talk louder at the beginning of a sentence then start to fade out,
partly because of the way I talk and am constantly moving and turning my head to and from the mic. Anyways I exited out of acid and sat staring at my desktop when it dawned on me. There right in front of my face was the icon for The Levelator. I origionally downloaded it a long time ago thinking I would use it for the whole show. I then decided that wouldnt be cool because it would probably make a mix that somebody worked long and hard on to suddenly sound shitty. Then I thought what if I render my speech track to a wav or aiff file, run it through the levelator, and replace it into the final mix? I tried it and it worked. Sounded pretty good. I noticed it really brought up the background noise, the spots where I paused then start talking were very obvious. I'll obviously need to do some blocking from the speakers or where headphones, cause that really bled through hugely! I will try to send you something so you can here it. I guess I better get back to work since they are paying me.
See ya
